This two-hour English-language course from Wandering Owl teaches beginners and experienced photographers how to photograph the northern lights. You receive online instruction from a professional photographer, presentation slides, and support. The course is linked to Tromsø but is not an aurora hunt, and you must provide your own camera or phone.
Join Kenneth or another local guide for a private Northern Lights chase from Tromsø in a comfortable Mercedes V-Class, Vito, or Sprinter. Your guide checks the skies and drives toward places such as Ersfjorden, Sommarøy, Skibotn, or the Finnish border. Hotel pickup, hot drinks, snacks, and Aurora photos are included.

Meet at Xwander Basecamp in Ivalo for a four-hour Aurora workshop and night drive. Guides such as Anne and Quentin explain the science, Sámi cultural connections, forecasts, and camera settings, then search the Inari area for clear skies. Transfers, snacks, hot drinks, and guide photos are included.

Spend 2.5 hours learning to paint the Aurora in a traditional Lapland house. Elena guides beginners step by step, provides all materials, shares stories about Lapland culture, and serves coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies, and Finnish pulla.

Join Todd of Capture Wild Alaska for a six-hour Fairbanks aurora photography workshop. He picks you up at your lodging, seeks dark skies away from city lights, and teaches beginners and experienced photographers how to capture the northern lights. Small groups, warm drinks, tripods, and camera rentals are available.
